Matchy-matchy colors? Naw….mix it up!

Matchy-matchy colors? Naw….mix it up!

Events by La Fete created a truly unique and eclectic look for this reception by mixing patterns with a riot of unexpected colors.  No wonder this wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty’s blog!

I hope you enjoy these beautiful wedding reception photographs from Michael Moss Photography.

I was so happy to provide the invitation addressing services for this couple, in addition to their reception table number signs & a custom bunting….

The bunting was 10-feet long and was crafted by layering what seemed like a gazillion different patterns of thick decorative papers.  I found a handy-dandy bunting template on-line, which was very helpful in cutting the triangles.  I had to enlarge the template because this bunting was BIG!.   I affixed the triangles to thick, natural twine.  I made some long, loose pom-poms of colorful satin ribbon to add between each section.

I created the table number signs by cutting out the numbers, free-hand, from beautiful white linen paper and affixing to colorful papers.  The white Ikea holders were backless – so I used another patterned paper on the back of each sign.

Don’t you love how Events by La Fete paired the gorgeous farm tables with black & white chevron runners….and the colorful mix of flowers?  Genius, right?
